The other night I was working on the layout for my new catalogue, when my Skype icon bounced. It was my dear friend, artist Sarah Wallace. This is what happened next:
We don’t always know, working away in our studios, whether or not what we do is good. This kind of story is what makes it all worthwhile. If our work can touch people, it matters.
Then I cried for a little while, with the joy of bringing joy to others, weakened perhaps a little bit from exhaustion. And then I went back to work.
The Gallery, by the way, was TwoMacs in Margaree Valley, Cape Breton, owned by the lovely Jennifer and Ralph MacPherson. Check it out some time!
And Sarah will show her latest work in an exhibition at Koyman Galleries on St.Laurent Blvd in Ottawa, opening on March 28th. Take the opportunity to meet this wonderful woman, whom I love and admire a lot!
Its’s either serendipity or you are selling a lot of Oefooters or both, because a new client of mine was wearing one on her finger during her workout yesterday! She bought it at L A Pie. Lots of connections all around. Congrats.
That’s wonderful!
