*Caveat on using the term “recycled gold”:

While I am very careful to source my precious metals only from SCS® certified suppliers (SCS® stands for Supply Chain Sustainability; they are the global leader in the field of sustainability standards and third-party certification). Most of my precious metals suppliers are also members of the Responsible Jewellery Council. However, I want to point out that ‘recycling gold' is not what is commonly understood by the term.

True recycling avoids things ending up in landfills. Gold, of course, wouldn’t.

Instead, gold is simply melted, refined and repurposed.

Although SCS® certified refineries must maintain auditable records of their suppliers, there are loopholes globally which make it very easy for gold from unregulated and/or illegal sources to enter their supply chain.

This makes even 'certified recycled' gold untraceable.

I hope you all enjoyed a splendid long weekend, and hopefully your Valentine’s Day was filled with positives. I am very lucky to be surrounded by much love, and this year was especially lucky to have the whole family gathered, and celebrating love by sharing lots of good homemade food with very very dear friends.

On the topic of love and joy, though, I also want to reiterate one of the main reasons why I love so much what I do: because it allows me to bring joy into people’s lives! This joy is evident in some of the wonderful comments I receive. I only recently decided to start sharing some of them on my website, and created a new page for these.

It touches my heart deeply to receive such messages

This is when I realized that there is this whole part to my website where I talk about how designs start forming, what the process of moving a design forward to metal, and why I do this whole thing in the first place! I thought I’d let you know that these less-frequented parts of my website are there for you to discover, should you chose to do so.
