This hand-forged OneFooter ring, in sterling silver is set with a 6mm 0.78ct unheated aquamarine in a 18k yellow gold bezel. The gem is hand-cut in Nova Scotia by master gem cutter Keith Thomas. Mr. Thomas collected gems in his years of living abroad, and sometimes when I am looking for a particular gem, he will custom cut it for me from its rough. It’s really amazing to have this close a connection to the source of a gem. The ring is a size 7
One of my favourite stories Mr. Thomas tells is when, while living in Africa, during the rainy season, the emerald mines would fill with water, which would be tinted in the bright green of them gems being mined there.
