Onefooter Ring 3-Loop in Fairmined Sterling Silver

Made from less than one foot of wire, the Onefooter ring has 4-loops, as opposed to my classic 5-loop OneFooter. It is first forged in various directions, then wound repeatedly into a continuous loop, wrapping around the finger many times without beginning or end. Each ring is unique and different; no two are the same.
This spiral ring generally has 3 intertwining loops, but that can vary, depending on how much the metal was pushed during the forging process, and the size of the ring. Average width is approximately 7 mm (ca. 9/32″)

I had made these in recycled sterling silver, and while Umicore’s recycled silver standard is very high, it is not necessarily considered the most ethical anymore because conflict silver can make its way into the supply chain. As I learn more, I continue the journey to implement ethically-sourced metals.
