
The perils of hanging out with fellow crafters
We had a lovely time at our Holiday event LustreWorks, which I do every year with potter Mindy Moore at the studio of her husband, photographer Marvin Moore. One of the perils of hanging out with fellow artisans is that one gets exposed to more beautiful things made by hand … more chances of falling in love with handcrafted objects.
This year, I came home with three of Mindy’s lovely tumblers. How could I resist? Someone pointed out that it was only natural that I was drawn to this work, as it clearly mirrors my fascination with the study of line. Look:
