You may have read about my musing on dance. Well, there is more coming, TONIGHT and tomorrow at the Dalhousie Arts Centre! This time, a bit more classical perhaps. Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet will be presenting a program of mixed contemporary works. Among the pieces, I am excited about Peter Quanz’ piece In Tandem. There is an interesting interview, including some excerpts, here. And it’s always nice to see live music on stage together with the dancers: Canadian songstress Allison Crowe and American singer-songwriter Cris Williamson will be performing in RWB’s work “The Doorway: Scenes from Leonard Cohen”. It’s pretty daring to put a dance piece to “Hallelujah”!
So come on in, out of the cold!
