Apologies for not having posted in so long: I have been having some technical issues. Seems all better now, though.

I will just give you a few visual impressions from my NYC trip – it was my first time there. I have more to say about my first visit to the famous city, but I’ll do that next time. For now, look what I saw (other than the inside of the Javits Center, where the NY Now tradeshow was held):

I had to do the Highline, a former train track that has been converted to green space. I must say I enjoyed that quite a bit. It is almost surreal

What an interesting mix of urban and green space:

It’s a popular hang-out spot

Speaking of green spaces in NYC: of course I had to ‘do’ Central Park

There was an amzing exhibit at the Museum of Arts and Design. I spent hours there …

This exhibit was like walking through a jewellery history lesson!

And I was delighted to find several of my former professor’s handmade pinhole camera pendants on display!

The view from the restaurant is priceless

Of course I did the Metropolitan Museum, as well. It was incredible.

There was an amazing photography exhibit by Garry Winogrand, one of Japanese Edo period painting ( and my lucky day!) a fantastic jewellery exhibit. What can I say … I like the stuff.

Alright folks: next time, more words, less pictures! Enjoy these first days of September!
