Size 8
Zircon – the birthstone for December- occurs in an array of colours: yellow, green, red, reddish brown, and blue hues. It is the December birthstone and with its high refractive index (i.e. it’s very sparkly!) it is a favourite among collectors and informed consumers. The blue hue always reminds me of sailing on wooden boats in Caribbean waters (we came in 3rd one year in the Antigua Classics!).
For this one, I hand-forged 2 feet of sterling silver – the TwoFooter ring is a size 8. I find that the 18k yellow gold bezel beautifully contrasts with the lively blue gem.
