Oh my gosh, I love this one! First of all, the gem is very special: it is a completely natural, unheated sapphire which was mined in Montana, and hand-cut by Master gem cutter Keith Thomas right here in Nova Scotia. This gentleman is a gem himself, I would say. He is pushing ninety years old, yet still cuts gems. Amazing guy.
I set this oval sapphire, which is 6x4mm and weighs 0.42ct in a 18k yellow gold bezel atop a sterling silver OneFooter ring. The ring is a size 7.5. Because of the way this particular OneFooter ring was wound, and because of how I placed the stone setting, it is fairly narrow, unlike some of my other rings in that series.
