Unlike commercial white gold, this 18k palladium white gold is nickel-free, and never requires rhodium plating. This material is beautiful to work with, and I appreciate its dark lustre and intense heft. It’s a very unusual material.
This hand-forged Onefooter ring, like its counterparts, begins as one foot of 18k palladium gold wire, which is forged and then wound repeatedly into a continuous loop, wrapping around the finger many times without beginning or end. Finally I add the brilliant sparkle of a 0.232 ct ethically mined, quarter carat certified Canadian diamond. This one has a clarity of SI2 (which stands for ‘slightly included 2’, meaning that it has inclusions that are easily seen under a 10x loupe), and a colour grade E, which is a very nice white. The diamond certificate is #CDN 114-11-7-23.
The ring is a size 7.
This is one of the last remaining OneFooter rings in sterling silver with a gem, so don’t hesitate. Want one in gold? Check my Custom Rings.
