*Caveat on using the term “recycled gold”:

While I am very careful to source my precious metals only from SCS® certified suppliers (SCS® stands for Supply Chain Sustainability; they are the global leader in the field of sustainability standards and third-party certification). Most of my precious metals suppliers are also members of the Responsible Jewellery Council. However, I want to point out that ‘recycling gold' is not what is commonly understood by the term.

True recycling avoids things ending up in landfills. Gold, of course, wouldn’t.

Instead, gold is simply melted, refined and repurposed.

Although SCS® certified refineries must maintain auditable records of their suppliers, there are loopholes globally which make it very easy for gold from unregulated and/or illegal sources to enter their supply chain.

This makes even 'certified recycled' gold untraceable.

OneFooter 3-Loop Ring in 18k White Palladium Gold

$3,800.00

Made from slightly less than one foot of wire, this Onefooter spiral ring has 3-loops, as opposed to my classic 5-loop OneFooter.

I love 18k gold. A length of one foot of this lovely material is first forged, then wound to wrap around the finger many times without beginning or end. The metal finds its way differently each time, and thus no two rings are the same. This refined wrap ring beautifully intertwines the loops of gold.

The white gold I use is unusual. It is called ‘palladium white gold’. It is a much more superior alloy, as palladium is a highly pure metal; alloyed with pure gold, it creates a gorgeous dark precious metal, which looks a bit more like platinum than commercial white gold. It is a highly valuable metal, which does not have to be rhodium plated again and again like commercial white gold. I only work in 18k.

Even though it is incredibly durable and strong, 18k Palladium white gold is very malleable – it loves being forged, and thus lends itself to the forging technique I use. I appreciate its density and colour very much – it is very contemporary. Best of all, it is hypo-alleregenic, as it does not contain nickel.
You can read more about the materials I use and their sources in the Materials section of my website.

Also available in 18K yellow gold.
