Getting ready for the West Coast

Share on:

I have been a busy little beaver in the studio, getting ready for my trip out West. I will be stopping in at various galleries in Calgary, Banff, and Edmonton, on my way to Vancouver. The Vancouver Harmony Arts festival will be held over two weekends, and in the days between, I will get a chance to see galleries in Vancouver, Victoria, and even Seattle, where I’ll stop in on my favourite choice for that city: Facèré Jewelry Art Gallery.

Today I had a welcome interruption in my preparations by the annual visit of Melanie from England, who stops by once a year, when she is here to visit her parents, Monica and Dennis, of my favourite Halifax resto, FID.  We like to design things together (read about last year’s design here and  here). Melanie was an eager participant in trying out the very first pair of stud earrings in a new series I am developing, look:

Melanie tries on the first experiments in this new series, which is based on my study of Habitual Tendencies

And now it’s back to work! I want to have plenty of choices of Onefooter rings for the Harmony Arts Festival for my brand-new clients out West, seeing that each ring is so different from the next, each one is unique, and seeing that, with my work, the ring finds the finger ;)

    • I’ll be there on August 7 or 8. I won’t be in town for long … we’ll see!
Facere is such a great gallery. I love the work they carry.
I can only hope that they’ll like mine, too!!
