These rings arose from my MoonPearl Swirl earrings, and were inspired by the sheer beauty of Kasumiga Pearls. Theses pearls are quite unusual in the thickness and lustre of their nacre, which makes them particularly well suited for the use in rings. These pearls are 10-11mm in diameter.
As with the earrings in the same series, each ring in this series is completely unique and only exists once. The form is inspired by constellations, and by thoughts around precious subjects. Each one is created in sterling silver individually by hand, and thus no two rings are the same.
The dreamy elegance of these new MoonPearl rings comes from letting the sterling wire guide me as much as I am guiding it when I create each one of these, just tight enough to cradle the pearl. This design continues my study of line, and my commitment to making pieces one by one, by hand.
Available in 18k yellow or palladium white gold, or as special order with different kinds of pearls. Let me know what your heart desires!
