It’s been amazing to experience the change over the last couple of days. Even last weekend, I was still collecting bright red Maple Leafs off trees, to use in creating more Maple Leaf rings. But this mighty wind sure has changed the feel and look: the world has gone from bright hues to muted browns. I wish I had taken some photos of all the sparkly brightness before the storm! Alas, too late now. Many people have suffered from this big storm; my heart goes out to them! Luckily we only had a couple of very windy days here in Nova Scotia.
I wonder would there be a lesson in having lost the brightness of the earlier Fall. Continous letting go!
I find Fall such an amazing time. I love the colours, and I adore the winds – or maybe it’s the other way around. I like the feeling of gathering inwards, both physically and mentally. And as a cook, harvest time is my favourite time of the year!
Look at these amazing finds from the Farmers’ Market last weekend!
And here is someone thinking outside the box: local organic farmer Dominique grew Ginger this year!
How could I not end on a pumkin note?
Happy Halloween, everyone!
Nice photos Dorothee. Especially the first one…great colour.
