When business advisors ask me who my clients are, I often just smile, because (luckily!) there is no one answer. People from all walks of life are drawn to my work.
For the annual NSDCC Christmas Craft Market here in Halifax (coming up again in November!), a company is hired to help with set-up and take-down. For two years in a row, a very interesting strong young man was part of the crew. And both years, he told me how much he loved my work. We talked about it, and he looked at it, but none of the rings I had with me fit his enormous hands. Well earlier this year, he finally called me to inquire had I made any enormous and ornamental rings yet, that might fit him? And I had! Inspired by the enthusiasm of this young man, I actually HAD made a whole set of very large rings in my Script series. He had saved up, and so he came by my studio one day to choose the ring he wanted. He was so excited, just ecstatic. And then he was kind enough to send me photos, and allow me to share them with you, so here you go:
