I love 18k gold. A length of one foot of this lovely material is first forged, then wound to wrap around the finger many times without beginning or end. This refined spiral ring beautifully coils its loops of gold. The metal finds its way differently each time, and thus no two rings are the same.
L'or blanc que j'utilise est inhabituel. Il est appelé «or blanc palladium». C'est un alliage supérieur, car le palladium est un métal très pur; allié à de l'or pur, il crée un magnifique métal précieux de couleur plus foncée, qui ressemble un peu plus au platine qu'à l'or blanc commercial. C'est un métal très précieux, qui n'a pas besoin d'être plaqué rhodium encore et encore comme l'or blanc commercial. Je ne travaille qu'en 18k.
Même s'il est incroyablement durable et solide, l'or blanc 18k Palladium est très malléable - il aime être forgé, et se prête donc à la technique de forgeage que j'utilise. J'apprécie beaucoup sa densité et sa couleur - il est très contemporain. Mieux encore, il est hypoallergénique, car il ne contient pas de nickel.

This spiral ring generally has 5 loops, but that can vary, depending on how much the metal was forged, and the size of the ring. Average width is 10mm (ca. 3/8″)
